Static mixer

Summary

A SMX static mixer can mix two fluids without the need for any moving parts. Also, it can be used with laminar flow and fluids with a high-viscosity ratio. The mixer internal path splits the flow and changes its direction several times, leading to a homogeneous mixture at the end.

In this research project, we study using a static mixer to mix cement slurry with setting accelerators. I simulate the two-phase laminar flow inside the mixer using ANSYS Fluent.
