I am Hesham Khalil, a product developer of drilling tools at Modern Ejada for Well drilling (MODUS) and an assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering at Kafrelsheikh University with over 10 years of research and teaching experience.
I started my teaching journey from 2011 to 2016 as a teaching assistant and then as an assistant professor from 2020 to 2024. During this period, I participated in teaching several core courses in Mechanical Engineering and developed a teaching style that is easy to understand (More details here).
I earned my Master's degree in Mechanical Power Engineering from Tanta University in Egypt, focusing on studying micro turbojet engines —both theoretically and experimentally— and examining the impact of nozzle exit area alteration (More details here).
I earned my Ph.D. in Energy Resources Engineering from the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), focusing on improving thermal energy recovery using thermoelectric generators by enhancing thermal performance and heat transfer (More details here). As an international exchange student, the experimental work of this research was performed at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan) for ten months.
In Aug 2024, I joined the product development team at Cortex Innovations where collaborations are established with KAUST and Modern Ejada for Well Drilling. We study, design, and test several tools used in oil well drilling.
During this journey of studying, teaching, and researching, I acquired extensive knowledge of several computer programs. Instead of being just a user, I created a dedicated channel for sharing most of this knowledge (More details here).
